Nothing Is Hard That We Don’t Make Hard
by Donna Martini – Oyster Bay, NY

Page from bookRecently on Facebook, I posted an excerpt from My Mini Book of Mighty Mantras about happiness and the importance of telling ourselves how we want to feel as opposed to allowing ourselves to stay in unproductive–some call them negative–emotions. The post came with a breathing meditation which doubles as a mantra: “Breathe in happiness; breathe out ……….” and the reader would name the feeling they want to release.

Someone commented, “Easier said than done,” which started a dialogue between us that included her defending people with mental illness who “should be able to take drugs if they want to.” The exchange was a great reminder of how off track and misdirected Facebook to Facebook dialogue can get. But that’s not the purpose of this article.

The message I want to deliver today is that speaking a positive mantra IS easy. It cannot get easier! And the practice of breathing while repeating worthwhile statements will absolutely create a healing effect, whether we are on or need pharmaceuticals or not.

Understand, it is not easier to stay depressed than it is to at least make an attempt to try and get out of it. It is not easier to have little or no physical energy to do our work and to enjoy our life. It is not easier to alienate ourselves from family and friends. All of this adds up to a much harder way to live.

And “easier said than done” seems ridiculous when we realize we are made of sound energy! What we speak and think is what becomes done because our words will become our reality! What we say and allow our minds to focus on has been proven to dictate how our bodies feel. Our feelings generate energy which forms matter. Literally, this means that we cannot help but walk into the future our minds are mentally, physically, and emotionally preparing us for.

Prepare ourselves for helplessness, and we will feel more helpless. Prepare ourselves for greatness and that is what will rise in us.

Understand, too, that our bodies will listen to what our minds tell them, and our minds will listen to our souls if we let them. We can use our mind to speak what we truly want and if mental illness is interrupting this creation process, the best way to overcome that is to first convince ourselves of this truth: We exist in magnificent self-healing machines that are constantly rejuvenating themselves. In fact, every part of our bodies, from each organ and blood cell to every inch of our skin, is constantly regenerating. So, if our bodies are constantly changing themselves, why believe our brains have to stay the same…?

Science has proven we can reroute and rewire our noggins; we can induce the right chemistry; we can come through whatever trauma or dramas that are repressing our connection to our soul. How do we do this? Through a simple decision; through our continued desire.

We need to want and then request healing with an absolute willingness to do what we can (even the tiniest of things) to help ourselves. Then we need to ardently listen to the soul messages that start coming in.

Something Higher Knowing has always led me to believe, “You don’t need to know how to get your best body and life, Donna; you just have to want it, and the ways and means to get it will become obvious.” I truly believe this is another way to express Matthew 7:7-8: “Ask and ye shall receive.” (Notice this directive starts with something being said.) “Seek and ye shall find.” (Demand ourselves to overcome fear and doubt so we can readily hear, see, and seek out the steps needed to get what we want.) “Knock and the door shall be open.” (Once the first step becomes obvious, we MUST make the attempt to take it.)

The system that subsists–this profound process of “ask and ye shall receive” — it is here for everyone, even those who are disadvantaged or sick or unable to comprehend it. And it was created to be easy! The only difficult part for many is trust and belief in its existence, though we have nothing to lose by attempting to adhere to its wisdom. We don’t even have to understand it fully to take full advantage of it. We just have to be earnest in our attempt, and IT will work for us.

A new, more productive, mindset for today: “It is easier said than not said!”

Decide it cannot hurt to believe in all that is greater than you. Put all of what you want into words and keep putting it into prayer and mantras until you start to hear and see and feel the ways to make things happen.

Purposefully speak your request of yourself: “I DEMAND to be healthy!!!” Put it up to your soul, God, and Higher Power: “Guide me; I am willing to do what it takes to heal my body and mind.” Show how much you trust in the process by repeating over and over: “I AM HEALED! I AM HEALED! I AM HEALED.” Then walk through your day feeling the healing.

Lastly, take the time to give thanks for what you are about to receive, even if you initially doubt the outcome. Doing so further solidifies your conviction. Eventually, as the results of your positive and purposeful words become realized, you will know, without any mindful doubt, it is all real, and it is all for you. ©

FYI: The information shared in this post is intended to lead and guide us to the best solutions, practitioners, healing remedies, and mindsets we can obtain. There are times when drugs and medical intervention is appropriate to help some of us reach our health goals. Bottom line, no matter what route we choose to take, when it starts with our belief that we can heal, we will heal.
