Your truth is your truth, until a greater truth is found.

Have you noticed in your own life how beliefs & convictions once so firmly grasped, no longer have the same hold on you – if at all?

There are stunning examples of this in every field in every age: Astronomy/ Science/Religion – as ridiculous as it sounds today, the earth was flat and the Catholic Church insisted that the Sun revolved around the earth.

Medicine – Bloodletting seems a bit barbaric now, but it was common practice for nearly 2000 years! Nutrition – Fat became a four-letter word in the ‘80s; now fats are “essential” to our health. Presently, Quantum Physics is proving the interconnectedness of all things. Hard science is determining that consciousness resides outside the physical body, in the field of all possibilities.

Growing up, our perceptions are largely shaped by our families, schools and religion. However, the truth is we change with time and experience. Our tastes change in fashion, music, politics and lifestyle. The goal, over time, is that we develop discernment, and do not simply regurgitate popular opinion.

Perception is everything – and our perceptions invariably shift. Accordingly, it may be a good idea to temper our “convictions” and trust that what we are so sure about today, might surely be “wrong” tomorrow.

In Peace & Gratitude,
