Make no small plans for they have no power to stir the soul

Niccolo Machiavelli

It’s apparent that the founder of CREATIONS MAGAZINE, Vijay Director had no small plans when he launched this publication 25 years ago. Incredibly, 2011 marks the 25th year that CREATIONS MAGAZINE has been – as our tag line proclaims – “Inspiring the Soul.”

Six years ago, when Andrea and I became the publishers of CREATIONS, we knew we had been entrusted with maintaining a legacy. As a long-time reader and distributor (and later as an advertiser), I was well aware that the bar had been set high. Our readers would expect nothing less.

My business life began in 1983 when I opened my first Health Food shop. Fastforward to 2005 and six stores later, I knew my “lease” was up and I was ready to make a move. The opportunity arrived in the form of an ad in CREATIONS (advertising really works!). Thanks to our readers and advertisers, I have not missed retail – at all.

In recognition of our 25th anniversary, we are asking ALL of our supporters to share your heart-felt thoughts and feelings about CREATIONS MAGAZINE. Whether you’re a long-time reader/advertiser, or a relative newcomer, tell us how CREATIONS MAGAZINE has been relevant in your life and/or business. Please email neil@ creationsmagazine.com. As a continuing yearlong celebration, we’ll be printing your contributions in subsequent issues.

We had three winners from the YPP raffle we offered at the NAVEL Expo this past November. Congratulations to: Nancy of Massapequa, Susan of Smithtown and Carolyn of S. Setauket. They received a one-year membership to the Yoga/Pilates Pass (a $69 value) entitling them to two (2) FREE classes at EACH participating studio. At present, YPP members can take over 40 FREE CLASSES, and that list is growing! And we were thrilled that our YPP program was featured on News12 Long Island Naturally, with Mary Mucci. Please visit www.creationsmagazine.com to join.
