A Beginners Guide to Sacred Geometry

Sacred geometry is all around us – it can be found inside the flowers that adorn your windowsill, the snowflakes that fall upon your tongue, the seashells you collect from the beach, the DNA encoding your cells, and even the very air that you breathe.

But what is sacred geometry? What do these sacred patterns mean? And how can you implement sacred geometry into your everyday life to promote inner peace, protection, and healing? That’s what we’re going to explore in this article.

What Is Sacred Geometry?

Because you’ll find these sacred shapes in all natural patterns, sacred geometry is commonly referred to as the Language of God – the blueprint of creation and the origin of all form. Going as far back as ancient cave paintings, human cultures all over the world have recognized the significance and power of these natural shapes and patterns. Greek and Roman philosophers believed that specific geometric shapes contained symbolic or spiritual meanings. Shamanistic traditions believe sacred geometry conveys messages from the spirit world. And there are many ancient tales that claim that if you put fresh fruit inside Egyptian pyramids, it slows their decay.

Sacred geometry explores the energy behind these patterns – the energy of creation itself. And how we can use these shapes and tap into their pure form of energy to create inner harmony, rebalance, protect, and heal ourselves.

The Key Shapes

There are 5 core shapes that act as the building blocks of everything in the Universe – tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron and icosahedron. And when you break these 3-dimensional shapes down into their simplest form, you’re left with the triangle, square, circle, spiral, and straight line.

The Triangle – Represents balance, harmony, completion. Rising upwards, it elevates us to Higher Consciousness.

The Square – Represents foundations, solidity, grounding, practical, ‘earthly’, stability, dependability, safety.

The Circle – Represents wholeness, oneness, never-ending circle / cycles of life, the eternal constant, cycles of change, unity, perfection, inclusive, boundaries.

The Spiral – Also known as the kundalini, the raising of consciousness.

How Can Sacred Geometry Benefit Me?

Each sacred geometric shape contains within it a specific energy vibration and intention (noted above). When we use these shapes intentionally in our everyday lives, we can bring about magnificent transformations of our energy, harmony, and health.

These shapes can connect us more intimately to ourselves and the world surrounding us. And we can use these shapes to protect & amplify our energy, access profound inner healing, and tap into higher frequencies. But this isn’t just hearsay or woo-woo spirituality; scientists all over the world are studying the phenomenon that sacred geometry has on health and healing…

A researcher named Bill Kerell, found that brine shrimp (who typically only live six to seven weeks) could live for over a year when placed under a pyramid.

In one Canadian hospital, doctors placed patients under a pyramid-shaped structure for a few minutes and found this reduced the patients’ pain and healed their burns faster.

This is because sacred geometry protects what’s inside, above, around, and beneath it.

You can achieve similar benefits in your own life by purchasing a pyramid-shaped bed, wearing a pyramid-shaped hat, sleeping with a small copper pyramid under the bed, or my personal favorite – practicing a visualization technique.

Visualization Technique To Protect Your Energy

Visualization techniques are my preferred method of benefiting from sacred geometry. It’s free, non-intrusive, can be practiced anywhere at any time, and as an added bonus – it’s highly effective as a form of energy protection. Using sacred geometry in a visualization technique can protect you from negative energy or harmful intent, can lower your stress, and restore a feeling of inner peace and self-control.

Here’s how implement sacred geometry in your everyday life:

  1. Select A Shape

First you need to find the shape you resonate most deeply with. You will use this shape to form a shield around your body. Play around with the three core shapes (triangle, circle and spiral) to begin with. These are the most common symbols found in nature and architecture, which makes them easy for most people to visualize.

Quiet your mind, close your eyes, and visualize each shape one at a time. Imagine yourself inside the shape and try to experience the symbol with all five of your senses. Allow the shape to work its magic on you and choose the one that’s an intuitive fit.

  1. Find The Right Size

Now that you can imagine yourself in a sacred geometry symbol, play with its size and texture. Make the shape as big or small as you’d like. Expand it all around you and then pull it in, almost like a second skin.

The closer this shield is to your body, the fewer energies it will pick up from the environment around you. When the shield isn’t as expansive, it has less of a chance to merge with another person’s energy field by absorbing or even brushing against it.

  1. Pick A Color

Next, it’s time to choose a color to fill your shape with. Much like choosing a shape, play around with different colors until you find one that feel intuitively right for you.

  1. Putting It All Together

Now that you have your shape, size, and color it’s time to combine all three in a visualization technique. Close your eyes and visualize your shape surrounding you.

Imagine your color coming down from heaven, pouring into your shape, and into the top of your head. Allow your shape to fill completely with color. If it feels right, you may add in a mantra of protection.

You can practice this visualization technique anytime you need to – when you enter a room with negative energy, before a large social event, in the morning before you start your day – anytime you feel the need to rebalance, protect, or rebuild your energy.
